Policy Development

A policy provides guidance so that each time a situation arises there are some parameters to ensure a consistent response.

Policy guidelines provide the organisation`s stated position on a particular issue (the what and why), they provide the written basis for an organisation`s operations and are secondary only to legislation and the organisation`s governing document.

Procedures are the mechanisms for implementing policies (the how, when and where). They outline the `how to` instructions for implementing an area of policy.

There are a range of policies that your organisation can develop to help promote health and well-being within your organisation.
